How do you decrease turnover by 13.5%, increase profit contribution by 23.1% and improve results by 32%, all within a year and a half?

Jan Orest, previously consultant CEO for Wibe Stegar in Nässjö and Chairman of the Board at Wibe Stigar AS tells how Wibe Stiger AS made this possible by executing different strategies based on information from MA system’s analysis.

According to Jan, this analysis provided information that the organisation previously did not know about.

”We were not good at following our own sales terms. We rarely debited the customer for freight costs even though this was stated in the terms of sale. At the start of the project freight receipts were at 23,000SEK a year. A year and a half later, they were up to 360,000 SEK a year!”

Since 1999, Stora Enso Fors has used MA system’s profitability analysis (CPG) to maximise profitability for both themselves and their customers. Previously the organisation focused on the quantity of produced cartons in tonnes, but with the help of profitability analysis the organisation has learned to focus on maximising production based on results in SEK instead.

Gunnar Sjöblom is the Controller responsible for MA system’s profitability analysis in Stora Enso Fors. This is his view on the application:

“We use MA-system’s profitability analysis in order to find out who our most profitable customers are. Then we can easily break down costs and find the most profitable customer. We also look at which customers are strategically important and who we can grow with. These customers often have very high customer requirements and are forerunners in their areas”.
